This farmhouse is a classic Proven\u00e7al property, its stately silhouette standing out against the endless expanse of green and blue on the horizon: a wrought-iron gate, a centuries-old fountain, a stone fa\u00e7ade and ochre-coloured tiles glistening in the southern sun. Inside, the walls have their own story to tell. The same white stone that frames the doors and shuttered windows can also be found in the imposing old fireplaces.

The wooden beams and traditional cabochon-style tiling reinforce the sense of history and authenticity. The interior design concept is a skilful blend of old and new: in the living room, masterpieces and religious icons sit alongside contemporary furniture and trendy accessories; in the kitchen, the old-fashioned sideboard and copper tableware contrast with chairs and lampshades in an industrial-chic style; and in the billiards room, the vintage leather sofa and wooden bar complement designer stools and striking modern photographs. The bedrooms feature the same clever blend of authenticity and modernity, with wooden and metal furniture in light colours and featuring graphic patterns.<\/p>\n

Get up early to make the most of the cool morning air and enjoy a game of tennis on Ch\u00e2teau Flavia\u2019s private court. Later on, take a dip in the swimming pool or relax in one of the hanging chairs in the garden. And of course, you can always sample the estate\u2019s wines in the magnificent traditional wine cellar. In the evening, settle into an armchair in the private cinema to watch a classic film: stars on the ceiling, stars on the screen. There\u2019s also plenty to see and do in the surrounding area: start with a short walk to the Chapelle Saint-V\u00e9ran, a romantic ruin dating back to the 10th century. On the hills above Goult, the J\u00e9rusalem mill is a typical feature of the Proven\u00e7al landscape. In Lacoste, meanwhile, the ch\u00e2teau that was once the home of the Marquis de Sade can still send shivers down your spine.
